The abstract photographs shown by Efrat Shalem are more than just conventional prints, the artist having performed some careful manipulations during the development procedure. The exact technique is camoflaged from the point of view of the spectator by a sheen of ambient light. The result is a series of photos, which seem to capture both light and time, blended together through diverse layers of images.
